Mamta Singh

Mamta earned her Master’s degree in Documentary Film from Royal Holloway, University of London. She comes from a Media, Communications & Film making background with a decade plus of experience of working in the media industry in India in various capacities. In recent years, she has been involved in several communications and film projects for various corporates, UN agencies as also others in the development sector. Mamta believes that media should and can be used as a means for social change.

As a media practitioner she likes being associated with what she prefers to call sensitive and sensible programming, using film to tell human-interest stories. She has served on the Jury of the 9th National Science Film Festival of India 2019 and her work has been screened at various National and International film festivals around the world.

We are all a collection of stories and experiences. Some our own. Some we hear and see around us. Every single one of these stories is powerful and deserves to be heard and told. Through my work I strive to bring to the fore front stories that have a heart and soul and need a voice, an expression.
